ISO stands for The International Organization for Standardization which certification clarifies the standardization and quality assurance for that a management system, manufacturing process, service or documentation procedure.

What Do You Mean By ISO 9001:2015?

ISO 9001:2015, is an internationally accepted standard body concerned with Quality Management System (QMS). It helps organizations affiliated with it to better the quality of services/products those organizations provide in order to constantly meet the customer’s needs, and their satisfaction and customer retention being the major goal. Also, it targets for other new bodies interested in working in collaboration with them, maintaining efficiency in much possible way. 

Quality Management System, is sum total of all the phenomenon involved, resources, assets available and values reflecting cultural significance that is concerned to satisfy the customers and maintain organizational relations in efficient manners. ISO 9001:2015 was first published way back in 1987 and it has replaced previously existent ISO 9001:2008. However, ISO 9001:2015 doesn’t explain what objectives should and organization look for or ways to see them fulfilled. So, it doesn’t mention ways to run business markets, they have to do it on their own. Its flexibility is certain to feature to be noted and it permits each and every organization to deal with their business on own, set certain objectives on their own, and work accordingly.

ISO 9001:2015 has its principles that can guide organizations in order to generate efficiencies, via processes aligned and streamlined throughout the entire organization in order to bring significant changes to the price of products, generation of opportunities, meeting up to customer needs and expanding business, exploring into new marketing sectors where customers wish for ISO Certification i.e. ISO 9001, which is quite important in order to work with the general public, as suppliers.

However, ISO Certification isn’t approved for ISO 9001:2015. In fact, there are other bodies concerned with auditing of QMS commencements, against ISO Certification requirements. Any kind of organization, be it small or big, doesn’t matter, they can certify to this standard.

Why is there a need for a new version?
ISO Certifications, they constantly view standards reviewing them to make sure they are updated and consistent with changes in the market and maintain relevancy as per organizations need globally. ISO Certification i.e. ISO 9001 was last time changed way back in 2008. It is not that long period of time but with significant changes going around the world, with the availability of new technologies, products, to match with customer’s needs, along with seeing how this market is, ISO had to make certain changes and bring in new ISO Certification i.e. ISO 9001, to satisfy customers needs. This new version of ISO Certification i.e. ISO 9001 had to meet people’s needs, address them.
Who can become ISO 9001: 2015 certified?
Organizations that are seeking in order to get ISO 9001:2015 certified will either fit into a group who have never undergone ISO 9001 Certification or likely fit to a group of already certified to ISO 9001:2008 and who are in need of updating to ISO 9001:2015. So, organizations certified to 2008 standards can make it, those who haven’t tackled ISO 9001, might find it difficult.

ISO 9001:2015 has set the standard for Quality Management Systems globally and has made sure of efficient products, services, and worldwide market supplying. It doesn’t matter if the organization is following QMS or is in the process to update to 2015 standard, it simply has adopted the finest Quality Managing and Certifying system.
